Hey guys, Ive been checking your site daily in hopes that you would somehow revive the site.

How awesome today is, I'm glad you back.

I am just a hobbyist, and have had a block about what happens after i grow the algae. Obviously i know the process, but i want to know more before i get going.

Aka, best extraction methods and best/easiest conversion to gas/diesel.

Also I am a professional programmer, so if i can help in the forum let me know. I have a site integrated into phpbb (using their registration and account management).

Hi all. I figured that this would probably be the best place to introduce myself.

I'm glad that there is now a nice forum to discuss all things Algae. I agree with the opening post.

I've just started on my algae projects and been doing plenty of research. I've already made a coke bottle reactor and have started harvesting but it's still all a bit hit and miss. I'm also a bit stumped as to processing.

So I hope we can get a nice community going here for the next gen in renewable biofuels.

Jehu

Just joined today and I'm glad to find a place where practical discussions are possible for things most people think are crazy.

My goal is to build a prototype algae photoreactor to produce hydrogen.
I've read here that "if the algae are deprived of sulfur it will switch from the production of oxygen ... to hydrogen".

I went to that wiki and couldn't find that statement you spoke about. Just wondering if there was another article or possibly a book chapter that explains this in more detail that you know of.
