I know for some reason you aren't suppose to keep plants in the light 24/7 as this can actual be detrimental to their health. However, has anyone seen any new journal articles suggesting certain time periods to follow depending on certain species of algae... or algae in general. I was going to use the 18h light/6h dark suggested in the Provasolli-Guillard protocols however I wasn't sure if there was new data out there to suggest otherwise. Thanks.
